Do you want to get information about radioactivity, the topic of generation and management of radioactive waste or learn something new in a fun and interactive way? Visit our information centers about radioactive waste in Zagreb and Dvor.
Info Centre in Zagreb
The Info Centre about radioactive waste in Zagreb is located in the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum.
Information on opening hours and ticket prices can be found on the website of the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum.
The Fund has been collaborating with the Museum since 2016, when the Radioactive Waste Info Corner was presented to the public, which was expanded into an Info Centre in 2022 and enriched with a number of novelties and interesting content telling a story of radioactive waste in an interesting and accessible way.

At our Info Centre, you can tour the facility for receiving, classifying, pre-processing, treating, and storing radioactive waste via virtual reality.
We also offer an augmented reality experience where you will be welcomed by the hosts: the Waste eater and Marie Curie, one of the greatest scientists of all time, and will tell you a little about radioactivity, radioactive waste management, and the Radioactive Waste Management Centre being established in the Republic of Croatia.

Uz od prije poznate multimedijalne interaktivne ekrane, statičke izloške, animacije, fotogalerije, kvizove, edukativne računalne igre i niz drugih sadržaja prilagođenih svim uzrastima posjetitelja Muzeja, novi dio postava uključuje 3D maketu Centra za zbrinjavanje radioaktivnog otpada u osnivanju s prikazom skladišnog prostora, te uvećanim prikazom betonskog spremnika s bačvama s radioaktivnim otpadom.
Through our application, explore what radioactivity is, what radioactive waste is and how it is managed of, and what obligations the Republic of Croatia has regarding the management of radioactive waste. Take a short knowledge quiz, and play the games we have prepared for you.
And that is why you should visit our Info Centre in the Technical Museum in Zagreb and find out everything about radioactive waste in an interesting and interactive way. And of course, have fun!

The displayed exhibit will give you an insight into the composition of the soil up to 198 meters deep at the site of the future storage, and an explanation of the composition of the soil in individual layers. In the Info Centre , you will be able to track data on natural radiation dose rate values at the location of the future Centre for the Management of Radioactive Waste and in the area of the Dvor Municipality.

When you have visited our educational and informative content, play the augmented reality game with us and help us dispose of radioactive waste! And of course, most importantly, have fun!
